JUNGLE FAMILY

The author, with her two Swedish sons, journeyed to Colombia, South America, to visit her explorer- husband. Staying in a remote Indian village must have been a fascinating experience for the two boys, but the excitement does not filter through to the reader in this endless stream of unaccented words. This is a meticulous, detailed record of the daily events-- all related with equal emphasis-- which occurred during the visit. Here is a ""jungle"" of information about the Indians; there are folk tales related by an old Indian; customs described by the author; history interjected casually, while every animal within walking, swimming or flying distance wanders on and off the scene. Selectivity would have resulted in a more readable account.
