Saturnin Dax turns up in Buenos Aires on the trail of a murderous bank embezzler whose killings have been made easier by a certain Barbe Bleue who also has it in for the ladies. The Commissaire has to take a back seat in the sleuthing operations, so his young subordinate Felix Norman and a brave newspaper gal, Suzanne Lorrain, take over the hunt. Conveniently, the center of operations is a rooming house where there are rooms available for the young sleuths, and both murderers flutter to the bright bait. Nice international atmosphere, nice young people....Efficient.
