I SURE AM GLAD TO SEE YOU, BLACKBOARD BEAR

Once again, after other kids have, in turn, refused to share, scared him, and stolen his ice cream cone, Martha Alexander's unnamed little boy calls on his Blackboard Bear for consolation, and in the child's fantasy his big, loyal bear scares or impresses all the kids into submission or friendship. It's a lot like Blackboard Bear's 1969 debut, but then part of his value is in his being always available.
