KIRKUS REVIEW

A disappointing text, which in an uninspired manner -- reminiscent of the old type of routine guide ""On the right you sec..."" -- charts the layout of the city, its points of interest, and enough of its background and history to provide adequate factual content. But at no point does the city take on any flavor, color or personality.
