KIRKUS REVIEW

The horror and hopelessness of the out of work portrayed in four case histories, amplified into fictional form. Patience, despair, terror, and sometimes courageous acceptance of conditions makes this a harrowing story to follow. Might sell to those who were interested in Maxine Davis' Lost Generation -- for here is the meat of it in fictionized form. A blow for the smug -- a scathing indictment of current conditions.
