KIRKUS REVIEW

Ann, Navy nurse, in the fourth book of a series continues her exciting, romantic nursing career on a hospital ship. Accidentally sent into a lifeboat with the crew, she winds up in the guerilla stronghold, a welcome asset to the embattled heroes of the Philippine campaigns. A gallant determination to stick to duty in spite of heart conflict, the picture of an incredible mountain stronghold, and the triumphant advance of the American fleet make this a combination glorification of the nursing profession and dramatization of war. Good reading- if not of vocational value.
