LOVE PASSED THIS WAY

Capitulation and recapitulation, an in flashbacks Mary Hallard, nee Hanks, successful novelist, looks back over fifteen years of her love for York, the boy back home. She had learned, from her dying father, of his killing the town tanker, and despairing of any chance of happiness with York, she runs away from the mid western home of her childhood without a word to him, and infrequent meetings through the years never bring out the truth. Finally, after fifteen years, she returns to him, and learns of her father's innocence -- and bygones are bygones. Light as air. Rentals.
