This ambitious bilingual anthology surveys all of Dutch poetry, with over one hundred poems by eighty or so poets, beginning with anonymous ballads from the 14th century and ending with a number of contemporaries who seem barely to register the impact of literary modernism but sing in the same tight measures of the medieval bards.
