Father D'Arcy is recognized as one of the eminent Catholic philosophers of the twentieth century. Yet he is outstanding among that distinguished group for one extraordinary talent: he does not write like a philosopher, and therefore his works are intelligible to the one class of readers who need philosophy the most, the non-philosophers. Dialogue With Myself, the eleventh volume in Trident's Credo Series, presents D'Arcy at his most intelligible, and at his literary apex, discussing for the layman such subjects as man's unity with God, the nature of God's love for mankind, the role of Christian theology in an over-populated world on the brink of nuclear destruction. The book cannot be too highly recommended to all readers; it is ideal for spiritual reading, meditation, and for just plain pleasurable reading.
