When Professor Dibelius, of the University of Heidelberg, died in 1947 he left an unfinished manuscript of a book intended to be a companion book to his earlier work on Jesus. This manuscript was completed and edited by the former pupil of Dibelius, Professor of the University of Zurich, and has now been translated into English by Frank Clark.
