This anthology of celestial and terrestial affairs is modern in tone, from its introduction by Willy Ley to its science-fiction dictionary and illustrated zoo. The stories of alien worlds range from Mars and Venus and the Moon to lesser known of the galaxies, from rocketeers and pioneers to strange inhabitants and stranger happenings, from a bit of humor to plenty of action. But throughout the science-base is firmly established and, even though the majority of the authors are known only to the avid follower, Bradbury, Kummer, Fredric Brown, Van Vogt and Heinlein have found a less concentrated market. A buy for the stars-in-your-eyes market.
