THE KEYS OF HELL

Another hard breathing pursuit for the British Secret Service's Paul Chavasse when he is persuaded by a girl, presumably working for s2 in Rome, to return to Albania and retrieve a statue-symbol embedded in a marsh. Chavasse, after submerging and surfacing like Lloyd Bridges, finds himself overrun by Chinese Communists, scoots in and out of a monastery, and makes a watery getaway. Barely believable, but lots of scrappy activity.
