THE EXPERTS

Another political candid camera, this snapshots one William Cleveland while feelers indicate that he is a possibility for presidential candidacy. From a professorship to Governor of a Midwestern State, he has established a polished reputation in spite of a divorce. And as the portents get warmer he is enmeshed in the scandal of a laundry combine, two gambling incidents, one of which results in the chance for him to pardon a man condemned to death, and the hamstringing campaign from a rival newspaper. When the paper's tycoon hires the brother of Cleveland's mistress (whom he still loves) to work on the smear and when the situations close in, Cleveland is brought to his senses in a double play which regains him a victory on either pitch. A pow wow of strong medicine whose sincerity exceeds its dexterity.
