KIRKUS REVIEW

One of the nicest stories for eight to twelve year olds of the season. The ""river children"" are a little family, orphaned by the plague, who try to keep together on the river boat which has been their home. The gallant brother and sister try to be the big people for lovable small brother, and face all sorts of adventures before they find happiness and security.
