A good idea- right down the line of young question boxes- but it does not quite come off. Each page presents an animal or a bird -- and the accompanying jingles are awkward and too forced in their attempt to be amusing and original, but they do provide enough clues to lead to an answer for the observant child. Some will need a bit of adult interpretation and one could wish the pattern had been kept more direct and consistent. Juliet Kepes' pictures which offer variety in conception and execution, are sufficiently factual for the purpose, but lack the sprightliness of former work. Back sewn. But somewhat fragile.
