A holiday in Quebec combines business, for Mr. Nelson, with pleasure, for young Mark and Kerry. Interest is held by the introduction of a small mystery which the children meet and solve at their pension. First, one of their jackets disappears; then they find a note asking for help. Going to its source, Mark and Kerry learn about Pierre, a half a Indian boy, who is being held by the French half of his family because they disapproved of his mother's marriage and want to bring Pierre up in their own world. However, Mark and Kerry help expose the injustice and Plerre is allowed to go home. This added to the sightseeing and historical landmarks, makes a rather trite story.
