Yes, it's good -- I was afraid, after all the ballyhoo, that it might not be. Suggests The State Versus Elinor Norton, The Bellamy Trial, The Paradine Case, in that it is a flashback type of tale, starting with a murder trial, and building the story up to the point of the trial, telescoping the end. The author handles her material with assurance and vigor, has a keen sense of plot and character, and a reserve power that would indicate that this is not just a flash in the pan. The publishers are excited about it, and putting plenty of push behind it. Sell as you sell Mary Roberts Rinehart and Frances Noyes Hart, on the basis of its being a good story, rather than a mystery thriller.
