OUR DAY

The Holiday House Cloth Books are firm without being stiff, while this is soft and floppy. That has its advantages -- as a crib companion or ammunition, but is less successful when it actually comes to looking at the pages. Furthermore, it seems to me that the simplicity of the Holiday House pictures, without confusion of several objects makes them better as starters. However, these are recognizable drawings of recognizable and familiar objects and activities, the day through. And it is a joy to have good rag books available.
