KIRKUS REVIEW

atque Vale -- Lisette, Lise, Liza and Lizzie from four sundry characters whose lives she interrupted and disrupted. But by any name she bears a certain likeness to Capote's Tiffany playgirl, for Lisa with her private world of vague fantasy and devious flummery is a charming vagrant who walks lightly through life. Alexis, an aging Greenwich Village sculptor whose studio she cluttered up for a few months tells about her first, at the end of their ""little rigolade"". Next Rufus Barker, who truly loved her but threw her out. Jane Bentley follows, a wealthy woman whose carriage to a spendthrift dissolved after Lisa's stay with them in Galway; and finally Hoyt Bentley, some three years later, when he runs into her again.... Through t all Lisa retains her indefinable appeal; so does her story, a casual diversion which charms and disarms.
