KIRKUS REVIEW

This should prove a very popular and useful book. Skinny didn't like to eat the things he should eat, and grew thinner and thinner. Then even the animals around the farm began to comment on it and to advise him to eat what they liked. When he found that hay and garbage and worms and tin cans were much less palatable than meat and vegetables, he went back to his own diet with gusto. I liked the story, and the pictures by Inez Hogan, in line reproduced in color, are nice. But the black bordered jacket and binding seem a bit dismal and funereal.
