KIRKUS REVIEW

Mark this title down for a shelf item. It will certainly become a staple stock title you should never be without. Mrs. Lyman writes delightfully and as she writes the New Testament unfolds before you. Each book is explained in content and historical background and each book appears a bit more fascinating than the preceding one. You go sailing along enjoying each personality, each place in the easiest, swiftest manner, only slowing down to turn very difficult corners, which would have been quite impossible to navigate alone. Through her experience in teaching and speaking. Mrs. Lyman known the problems presented by the New Testament and she knows the answers, which she easily translates from sound theological terms to entertaining writing.
