TWO WAY PITCHER

The Turties were determined to be at the top of the Lake League at summer's end. And the effort proved good training ground for many of its members. Fireball proved he was a two way pitcher only when he had to after Fred, his on the team, sprained a wrist in the crucial game. And Jim Peacock learned that humility was part of being a champion. This is a fairly slow-moving baseball story in easy reading terms which may, despite its shortcomings, prove a boon to slow readers.
