KIRKUS REVIEW

Edited by Caroline Seebohm--who also interviewed many of the experts here--this is a reliable guide to issues of emotional and physical health, apparently reprints of articles published in House and Garden. Included are remarks from heart specialist Zohman, hand exercises from Elizabeth Arden's Marjorie Craig, nutritional advice--vitamins, water, whole grains--from Eloise Trescher, Golden Door/Maine Chance/Eugenie-les-Bains methods and menus, and short pieces on in-the-news subjects like running. Interviews with Gregory Bateson and Dr. A. A. Bridger (on lateral thinking) reach for a little more. The rest approach current concerns--teeth, eyes, dancing, food labeling--in accessible enough terms.
