FUN WITH MUSIC

By

Publisher: Whitman

A simple music book designed more for fun than for education. From three and four-note melodies about daily activities, which even a very little child can enjoy, it progresses to slightly more elaborate songs in which the child can participate (while mother plays the melody) by striking certain keys, or songs which, given a set of two to six water glasses, he can play entirely by himself. Original songs are mixed in with old favorites like Ten Little Indians. The directions, while they presuppose an elementary knowledge of the keyboard on the mother's part, are clear and not difficult, the pictures are gay and free. A good book and a book for fun which is also the easiest possible introduction to singing and playing.
