KIRKUS REVIEW

A departure from the usual fairy-tale collection, the 1 here are each followed by a page of questions the small listener can answer and pictures of objects from the story he can point out, which give an ample opportunity for talking over the story and for discussing what happened -- and why. Some parents may feel there are a few leading questions, ""Wasn't the princess silly to be so delicate?"", or that the emphasis on right and wrong occurs too frequently, but they can be edited according to tastes. Experiment with this will prove whether or not the idea is sound.
