KIRKUS REVIEW

First rate Americana -- and background for modern Westerns, in factual accounts of the patrol along the Mexican border. Good human interest material, an anecdotal treatment of the men and their experiences, of the problems they face, of adventure and narrow escapes. Somewhat episodic in treatment, which gives an impression of choppiness, but in the last analysis, the facts fall into place and the picture emerges.
