RAINBOW FOR SUSAN

A farm in New York City seemed an unlikely thing - especially when it raised goats and sold junk. Georgia-born Susan O'Day was mystified by Rainbow's End but determined to make her visit to her father's family a success. This is quite difficult until Susan learns to understand brusque but lovable Aunt Roxie and Uncle Dooly and to make friends with Posey Petticoat, the most intelligent goat within any city's limits. It is through the animals at Rainbow's End that Susan and Agnes become friends and indirectly through them, that Susan helps avert the loss of Uncle Dooly's beloved farm. A well written, warmhearted contemporary family story by a new and most welcome author.
