An exciting mystery for the female audience, this tells of a young vacationer in Crete who comes upon a wounded Englishman and his companion and becomes involved in a kidnapping, a robbery and a killing. Aegean caiques, White Mountains and alien country, are a soft scented, dark background for foolish, female behavior and dramatic denouement. It accomplishes its purpose -- you do keep reading.
