For Harry Lynch 17, the months between innocence and experience are marked by the recent death of his mother. Harry's father is uncomfortable with larger emotions and so the boy has only Nan with whom he can talk and fall in love- Nan for whom love also has its thorns as it seems to transgress the older loyalty towards her parents... Anger fiares which gets Harry into trouble, but his father realizes where he has failed -- and Na is returned to him. Written with insight.
