SHIVER: The Scaredest Dog in Town

There is a sound city flavor in this story of the gang of boys at the Kips Bay Boys' Club -- good sense of gang spirit, of dialogue, et al. The story is secondary to the atmosphere, but it is an appealing one. Denny had no pet until he found Shiver just in time for the show. This is the story of what happened. The illustrations have somewhat the quality of the comic strip, but there's a certain spontaneity about them that offsets their lack of artistic value.
