LEFT TILL CALLED FOR

Topical tale -- lively and good reading, in a story of an Anglo-French island in the English Channel, and of two children who helped block the Nazis after its occupation. Caroline and Mick are accidentally left behind when the family escape to England; they hide out in the cave of their Pony Club, they arrange an escape with the aid of a French boy whose father they suspect of fifth column activities and then change their plans when they find that Mick can do an important job for the English secret service. Not exceptional -- but so timely that it has a better than average chance.
