PLAIN CLOTHES PATRICIA

Pub Date: April 7th, 1944
Publisher: Doubleday, Doran

A gay story for the teens in which Patricia uses her last vacation before college to indulge her talent with a needle. At the instigation of her friends, she starts up a dressmaking shop in the California town where she lives. She runs up against problems with demanding customers when she puts ""first things first"" -- in this case a wedding dress,-but on the whole makes a reputation in providing the right clothes for the right people. An added interest is given when Patricia participates in a local mystery involving a spy ring. There's a bit of romance too. Not too serious.
