KIRKUS REVIEW

The best vocational book in the field of library work that I have found. And a good story as well. California is the ideal background for a library story, as the experience can be well-rounded and include a county library as well as city library experience. There is at no point in the story a sense of the facts about library work being dragged in -- nor is the touch of romance out of key with the factual groundwork. A book which should fill a real need, practical, inspirational and interesting.
