KIRKUS REVIEW

A very determined little girl wants a goat- and only a goat- for Christmas, and writes a letter to Santa Claus to that effect. Discouraging reports from both parents and Santa have little result, but when Christmas comes and the goat arrives only to depart in haste, Liz'beth Ann's faith is justified and a way found to have her wish. Children will relish this tale more, perhaps, than parents who aren't always as flexible as Liz'beth Ann's parents proved to be.
