This is as good a vocational story as I remember seeing, for the story is well constructed and interesting on its own, and the factual information about decorating is worked into the plot so successfully that it never seems manufactured. Occasionally, as Miss Thompson confesses, her Janet is too smart, but she makes enough mistakes to be convincing, and there are no rosy clouds distorting the unglamorous side of the picture. A touch of romance gives the story an appeal to girls who want that-along with the vocational slant.
