THE GAY COLORS

A whimsical approach to the study of French, this book by the author of A Little Donkey teaches its lesson on several levels. There is the light humor of the main characters, blurbs of color who set about their work-the visual aspect in which the bright colors are repeatedly portrayed as they manifest themselves in various objects; and an explicit text in two languages which acquaints the children with an unusual but useful French-English vocabulary. A book which entertains while it teaches, recommended for all pre-school children, who, eventually, will study French.
