KIRKUS REVIEW

The information is all here- from the seed to the shirt on your back, from planting in ancient India to modern America- but somehow its delivery lacks the verve we're used to in most of the First Books. Do not, however, let that detract from its purchase. Solid scientific, economic and historical grounding, adultly presented, shows definite merit where a conversational approach might have led to wool gathering.
