EARTHQUAKE

Jeff's decision to run away from camp and cover the thirty-odd miles across the Adirondack wilderness to his home with his horse Red may have been foolhardy. But one really can't blame him for not anticipating being caught in an earthquake--6.5 on the Richter scale, the epicenter smack in his path. The quake is as gratuitous as Jeff's conflict with his camp director is predictable. However Christopher makes something of Jeff's passing encounters--with a buck, a beaver colony, a family of campers, and his flashy editing, quick-cutting from Jeff's close calls to his distraught parents and back again, might sustain the short attention spans of the unsophisticated audience he aims for.
