Matt Warner told his story to Murray King. Warner was a Utah desperado, who fell into evil ways young, but never found the way back. He lived with Indians, he took up cattle raiding and rustling, gun fighting, holdups, bank robberies. He and his pals were not evil at heart; they spared the poor and needy. With Feds on their trails, they kept moving. Successive jail experiences resulted in Warner eventually going straight, and at seventy odd he wound up his days as a police officer.
