BETSY'S WEDDING

The next step in growing up in the Betsy-Tacy-Tib series involves Betsy and Joe directly, as they marry, settle and have their first months together in Deep Valley, Minnesota-days full of the ebullience familiar and favorite to faithful followers. Just back from Europe, Betsy has made up with Joe after a fight that nearly ruined their romance. There is a weekend in New York first- the excitement of doing the town, buying a ring and so forth. Then it's home for them both, as Joe resigns his Boston job to work for a local newspaper, marries Betsy and settles her down as a busy budgeting housewife. Treasuring her days, Betsy furnishes her apartment, lives through Tacy's first baby, helps Tib find a man. Bubbly as strawberry soda and as light.
