Two more of the Old Testament stories have been reissued in this series which includes Joseph, David, and two from the Gospels- Jesus Story and The Story of Jesus. While the texts with the illustrations in color by the author- artist team have proved their popularity, these have never been among this reader's favorites of the Petersham's. The pictures -- while they support the text -- are too reminiscent of the rather static, almost banal pictures of the standard Sunday School textbooks.
