THE BOY WHO HAD NO HEART by Maud & Miska Petersham

THE BOY WHO HAD NO HEART

By

Publisher: Macmillan

A basic moral point in well taken by the Petershams in their simple story of Johnny- who thought he was too good for the rest of his playmates- until loneliness stepped in. Johnny's symbolic heart hunting takes the form of buying a huge candy heart, which returns him his own when he gives the last of it to a sad clown's lost daughter. Much of the feeling is created through the authors' pictures in luminous hues.
