The author spent seven years in the employ of the John F. Kennedys. She is an English governess and was hired by the Senator from Massachusetts shortly before Caroline was born. Her book starts with Miss Shaw's awful task of breaking the news of the President's death to Caroline. It continues with all the stages of nursery trivia -- when they sat up, what they ate, how they talked, etc., with asides about encounters with their parents, who emerge as courteous and cordial employers, very sensible in dealing with their children. The book twitters along with all the mesmerizing banality that places it as typical royalty-watching autobiography which promises intimate glimpses and comes across with a series of thrilled peeks. It will be heavily illustrated with photographs of the always attractive children and their parents and, although the market seems as if it should be saturated, reports do indicate it is not.
