This is a separately published part of the anthology: The World's Great Madonnas and is made available in this form so that churches, clubs, schools and other cultural organizations may have the music contained in the large anthology in convenient form and at a reasonable price. There are 49 Christmas songs and carols and 13 other songs in this book drawn from twenty-five countries. It is an interesting and pleasant collection in which choir directors will no doubt be interested, but it is by no means outstanding compared with other collections of Christmas music. In the complete anthology brief interpretations are given of every carol, but this volume contains just the words and music.
