KIRKUS REVIEW

A book about mourning. Peter is upset because his dog, Mishka, is dead, but he comes to terms with his loss by reminiscing and commiserating with Mr. Mac, who has lost his wife. The kitschy watercolors, with a penchant for light blue backgrounds, display good intentions and some skill, but the book is tempered more by therapeutic concerns than aesthetic ones, designed strictly for those in similar situations. As bibliotherapy, it will have its uses.
