KIRKUS REVIEW

Not quite as adamantine as Sweden's Wahloo & Sjowall or Denmark's Bodelsen, Finland's Sariola presents a tight holding action about rich, elderly, jovial Mr. Husu who has indiscreetly written letters to a widow and a young girl which are used against him. Then he is murdered although there was already a natural death sentence not too far ahead. The pieces fall together predictably and unpredictably as a lawyer handles his case and then the widow's. It's a highly respectable job.
