RULERS OF THE WORLD

This is excellent reference material for today's children, for there is little material accessible in brief form on ""the rulers of the world"". A list of the men included is its best recommendation:- Franklin Roosevelt, Lazaro Cardenas, Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill, Eamon de Valera, Benito Mussolini, Adolf Hitler, Edouard Daladier, Francisci Franco, Kemel Ataturk, Ibn Saud, Chiang Kai-Shek, Mahatma Gandhi and Josef Stalin. The facts of their early history are succinctly given, with enough drama and color to make them distinctive. Naturally, current history is handled with detachment which robs the book of the challenge it might have had. I feel that a somewhat more critical appraisal might not have come amiss.
