Adventure yarn of a 14-year old boy's hunt for his father's gun which has been stolen from him. The chase carries him to the frontier, where he quickly becomes adept in its ways, and through circumstance and daring is idolized as a god by the Indian tribe with which he lives. He finds the thief, recovers the gun, and meets up with his father, whose venturesome past he can now match...Better juvenile than adult fare.
