Another deviation on a theme from Brand, neither straight adventure nor straight Western, but a lend of romance, shooting, adventure neatly intermingled. Story of a lad brought up by Mexican foster parents; of his apprenticeship to a murderer and bank robber, who uses him as a ""front"" as a Spaniard, with intent to defraud a girl of her wealth. The girl is out to revenge her father's death, and has designs on the youth for her own ends. He goes so far and no farther -- confesses the plot -- disowns his foster parents -- and eventually patches up the romance.
