KIRKUS REVIEW

Brand cannot be grooved, and this tale is energetic going. Joe Naylor, rich through his own efforts in raising the value of his valley, determines to make a man of his son, and takes drastic means to accomplish it, even to giving him his head with the Dude, an escaped convict but a right guy at heart. There's fighting, fleecing and fleeing before they are through, and Alf wins through.
